Cheap Diaper Bags

Whether you are breastfeeding or bottle feeding, here is a checklist you can go through so you can be better prepared for that trip out of town. You wouldn’t want to be caught without milk when junior is hungry, or without diapers when junior soils his pants. If you are not using the car, you’ll probably need to use a baby stroller.

Diaper Packing Tips

Be sure to pack plenty of diapers. You’ll want one for approximately every four hours you plan to be out. Even if there is no evidence of a bowel movement, it is best to change the diapers for hygienic reasons. Babies are too sensitive to be dirty.

You may also need a changing mat in case your destination does not have a baby changing room. Baby wet wipes and diaper rash ointment are also important.

In case of unexpected accidents be sure to pack an extra change of clothing and plastic or disposable bags for diapers and soiled clothing. 2 to 3 bibs are also essential

If you know your child has allergies, keep a liquid antihistamine like Benadryl in the bag. If allergies are severe, you might want to get a prescription for an Epi-pen to keep in the bag at all times.

If you are feeding by bottle be sure to bring formula, milk, and a Thermo flask of hot water as well as age appropriate snacks for both your baby and any older siblings.

Band-Aids, hand sanitizer, antibiotic ointment and a fever reducer/pain reliever like Tylenol, cell phone and tissues are essential for those small emergencies and don’t forget sun block and 1 or 2 blankets, especially for those outings at the beach.

Remember teething rings or pacifiers if your baby uses them (I personally don’t use those, as I don’t want my kids to become dependant on them). Children’s books can also help in entertaining little ones, although you may want to choose durable ones since kids can often rip anything apart.

Last but not least, you can bring a camera along. There will be plenty of precious moments and you will definitely want to snap a few pictures of them. (And if you happen to be involved in a car accident, the camera would come in handy to bolster your case for claiming insurance.)
