SuperCamps spends the summer teaching your child study skills in effort to raise grades and perform better in school during the academic year. The camps are spread between July and August and the campers are grouped into two different sections: incoming 6th grade to 8th grade, and incoming 9th to 12th graders. The camp also offers a parents weekend for the parents of those attending the camp. The camps can be found in Rhode Island, Ohio, California, Florida, and North Carolina on well-reputed college campuses.

Sally Ride Science Camp allows your middle school daughter to “major” in a science field for the duration of the conveniently scheduled day or night camps. The camp is only available to girls entering 4th through 9th grade. The camp locations are on six college campuses in California and Boston, MA.

Capitol Debate offers a summer program of debate, public speaking, mock trial, and leadership. This is the perfect camp for the future politician, helps prepare for high school and college speech classes, and will make any shy child outgoing. The residential camps are in July, in Baltimore, Maryland, and are for incoming grades 6 and up. The day camps are July to August, incoming grades 4 to 9, in Columbia.

Shared Worlds is the ideal camp for your young writer. It is a creative writing camp that nurtures existing talent while providing a unique experience for its campers. It takes place in July, and is for incoming 8th through 12th graders. The program is in Spartanburg, SC.

Arkansas Governor’s School is the perfect camp for rising Arkansas seniors. It runs from June to July and offers seven unique programs for the campers to choose from: Choral Music, Drama, English/Language Arts, Instrumental Music, Mathematics, Natural Science, Social Science, or Visual Arts. Students live on the campus of Hendrix College in Conway, AR. It only considers Arkansas’ most gifted for enrollment.

Oxford Summer Academy is an abroad option that offers several areas of study to choose from. The campers will be immersed in UK culture while learning in the subjects of their choice. The ages of the campers range from 8 and up, with most campers being in the 16 to 25 bracket. The sessions are anywhere from two to twelve weeks, so your camper can choose just what’s right for them.
